Treat yourself to a mosaic-making weekend with a friendly, skilled mosaic-maker in a delightful spacious mews workshop, close to Hove Lawns and the sea. Lose yourself in the creative process and forget your worries, concentrating on colour, light and shape. Soon you will be making your own mosaic piece, with plenty of friendly hands-on help, tuition and guidance. In the company of like-minded people, with music and refreshments, sun and sea breezes and inspired by more than 150 varieties of tiles that are frost proof, heat resistant and never fade, you are sure to leave with something you are proud of.

Summer Schools

These five-day courses give plenty of time to make a more substantial mosaic piece such as a mosaic table top for your garden, a splash back for your kitchen/bathroom or a mosaic mirror to enliven your home.

On booking a weekend or a summer school you will be sent an eight-page Mosaic Guide with design suggestions, mosaic techniques, mosaic suppliers, types of materials and grouting procedure. Each Course/ workshop begins with a Powerpoint presentation and your ideas are then discussed. You can either come with something worked out or pick up an idea when you arrive – there will be plenty flying about!

Liz de Ath is a nationally recognised mosaic-maker, having been commissioned by the Arts Council of England as well as a number of leading interior designers and numerous local authorities.
