The mysterious images of the Tarot have fascinated many people over centuries. Their origin is disputed but the oldest known packs date to Renaissance Italy where they developed from playing cards and came to be used as a divinatory tool. There are now many designs, drawing on different spiritual traditions.

The Tarot is composed of 78 cards including 22 archetypal images such as The Fool and 56 cards arranged in four suits like playing cards. During a reading the cards are placed in spreads where each card represents a different aspect of a situation.

The images of the Tarot form a mirror of the energies and influences within and around us. They can help us gain perspective on:
