Acupuncture
Slava Sviridovs
Lic Ac, BSc (Hons), MBAcC
Having evolved over millennia in China and the Far
East, acupuncture is a
safe, gentle and effective system of healing used to treat people of all
ages with a wide range of illnesses.
Acupuncture treats the whole person and hence does not distinguish between
physical complaints and emotional problems. The integrated style of
acupuncture practised by Slava not only focuses on your immediate complaint,
but also aims to strengthen you constitutionally in order to maintain
that
balance.
The treatment involves the insertion of very fine, sterilised disposable
needles into specific points on the body and the needle sensation may
vary
from a tingling to a dull ache.
Many people have acupuncture as a preventive measure to strengthen their
constitution or because they feel unwell in themselves without being "ill"
in the Western sense. It can also be used alongside conventional medicine
in
the treatment of both acute and chronic disease. To learn more about acupuncture,
