Creative Writing
with Gary Mepsted
Writing in any form – novel, play, short story
– can be a lonely and often painful business. The Monday course
is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. It will
offer a stimulating, supportive and fun environment in which to share
ideas, air problems and receive practical advice and guidance on your
work. If you’re after honest and constructive feedback and an antidote
to that feeling of writing in a vacuum, this is the course for you.
Gary holds an MA in Creative Writing from Sussex University and has taught
many successful writing courses for both the WEA and QueenSpark Books.
He has a regular book review slot on BBC Southern Counties Radio and writes
the book page for its magazine.

entertaining and informative. Gary lead us all through the writing process,
not so much showing us, more prodding us to learn for ourselves. We were
provided with honest appraisals of where we could improve and were supported
every step of the way with good advice and a positive idea. At the end
